This is a simple design and i think i should submit this as a critique.

Any comment and suggestions are most welcome!

well my first thought is that there is a hole in the ozone layer right? so that whole portion of the O should be missing. If you are afraid of losing the "O"ness of it, than at least make the missing pieces taken out from the center out, instead of the other way around. I look at this as if the O itself was the Ozone layer, and that the earth is somewhere in the middle of it, so the depleted area would come from the center out.

Thanks for your suggestion:)

Do you think it will look better if i make it a solid circle and move the puzzle pieces into central position to make it looks like Earth?

well I will assume that your reasoning for using the puzzle pieces as the ozone layer was because it is missing pieces.

I dont think puzzle pieces would represent the earth very well..

Another idea would be to have the outline of more puzzle pieces within the O shape, same color as the shirt its on, and you can have another escaping or something, because I think and I really should know, but isnt there another hole in the ozone other than antarctica?

Thanks:)

I'm not actually trying to make the O exactly as the real Earth or make the puzzle pieces the ozone hole. I use the letters O3 and try to add some destruction or imperfection to the typo. I hope that when people look at it they know O3 represents ozone and some portion of it has been damaged.

The reason i use puzzle is i think puzzle is created by ingenuity and wisdom of human, and the ozone hole is the result of excessive human activity on earth. It becomes ironic in my point of view. We are developing and destroying our planet at the same time.

Do you think the simplicity of the image work?

i like it, being so simple it says what it has to clearly enough. i'd like to see the puzzle-piece deterioration from the inside of the O, and the 3 closer to it & a little lower. love the idea :]

not really diggin' the puzzle style...i'd rather see it look more eroded than taken apart...

apparently the Ozone hole is on its way to healing itself. The reduction in CFC's and certain other aerosols has allowed for the hole to shrink. the size of the hole still fluctuates year to year, and last year it was like the largest it's ever been, but i think most atmospheric models predict that as long as we keep certain molecules out of the air the ozone hole should repair itself.

sucks for us. we are right underneath the hole. that means even when its cloudy and you're just outside for 5 mins to hang the laundry out, you burn to a crsip.

if this picture is an example of what our ozone looks like.. and if the hole grows any bigger we'll have to change the name to the c zone...

no puzzle pieces pls. I think you could get way with making outlines of the landmasses *slightly* lighter than the tee shirt color to get the idea of the earth surrounded by the "O" zone, not overly obvious to distract from the original. I would like the destruction to the "o" over the puzzle.

I love the simplicity and the message. I say nooooo to putting an earth inside. I also agree that the O should be more "eroded," to show that it's weakening and falling apart. I like your thoughts behind the puzzle pieces, but I don't know how well it would translate to someone who hasn't read your explanation. It could look like an O puzzle that's almost finished, with a message that the ozone is being built up again. I don't know, just some thoughts. Other than that, awesome. (P.S. Any of those colors are fine, but the green is a liiiiiitle overdone :)

simple design but with lots of thoughts behind... i like the idea behind the t-shirt. which speaks about the environment. maybe can try other destructive symbol which shows the damage of ozone? maybe this will speak your idea better. just a thought
