This is my first pass at color options, but it feels too serious, and I really want it to be more fun. Any and all advice or critique is more than welcome, but especially ideas that could bring in some energy.

See V1 for original linework.

oh and some colorful stained glass would make it more cheery.

What about those multi-colored flags on strings that used car lots have?

lol@NOODLEY-LIKE?!?!

i would add some bushes between the fence and the building.. green on the bottom then what zipperkind mention about the stained glass. maybe a subtle 'watch your step' sign, that would be awesome.. right by the stairs..

hmmm I would actually like to see more of the shark, possibly the tail poking out the back of the cathedral

or draw it from a different perspective, so you get the all encompassing view of the shark, it's fins, people mulling around

kind of like, what is that folk tale, where the build the city around the sleeping giant?

more teeth, less weird nostrils. it looks like a bridge for some reason, so maybe make the building not so matchy on each side.

the stairs shouldn't come directly from the fence, unless you want it to look like shark put it there.

one of the windows could have one of the crazy shark eyes peeking out.

good luck!

damnit. i mean, if you want it to look like the shark put the stairs there, then they need something more obvious.

i like the colors alot because gothic architecture is supposed to be dreary looking even though its all point to the heavens, i think you need to look at some most gothic churches though. i think the shark is really well done, but the design of the church could be reworked a little

this is a cool design, maybe you should make the design you have now smaller and add the lower half of the shark below?

It's looks very sketched, still. You should add some flying buttresses.

Thanks for the great ideas everyone. I'm going to think on this for awhile, and probably give it a total re-work.

It's how Gaudi would have wanted it.

I'd darken the inside of the mouth so it feels a bit more ominous... XD

perhaps if you work on the inside, darken it like wanderer said, so it's more cathedral- like. also, maybe it would be fun to see some geographical content... trees? clouds? bubbles?

the shark seems alittl eunnatural and very out of place, perhaps make the transistion a littl bit smoother? like make the shark less sharkish, or the walls more sharky.

its a sweet idea.. but needs work. i think what bothers me about it is that its so asymmetrical. and the stairs need a bit straighter lines. keep goin with it, :)

Ohhh Man! this is great! you should add a 4th color like a burgandy or purple for the inside of the mouth maybe and parts of the building?!

You could maybe use the tongue as a red carpet on the entrace... It's too blue and gray as it is.

I would like to see more teeth, especially on the bottom, colored windows (a la stained glass) and a shark tail curving up and out on the right. Just sayin...
