From the CambrianHouse website:

"The Robinhood Fund empowers everyday people to make a wish. Created in the spirit of Robin Hood, the fund grants wishes based on community votes. You can use the fund for anything: a wedding dress, credit card debt, or even money for college."

a one-way ticket to australia. my parents are really forcing me to attend a university in the usa that I don't want to go to. I found one in australia that I'd be much happier to attend, and they offered me scholarships. It's taking a huge risk and is completely out of the norm, but it's really what I want. If they could cover the cost of my plane ticket that would be a huge weight lifted.

mine was for money to help my mom repair her house. it's been falling apart (literally, she hasn't had a bathroom ceiling in 7-8 years) around her and she just doesn't have the time, the money or the know how to fix it. she's working two jobs, 7 days a week, and is 46 years old. it's far too much for her to handle and even with the help of my brother and myself, we just don't know how to fix everything that breaks so it all gets worse.

but they also said that the funds will increase (on a weekly basis, I think)...

oh yeah... I just found out that you really have to pay before you make a wish.

And then, I also just found out that it's for USA and Canada residents only... and only for those 18 and above!

just to let you know voting has started on the wishes that were submitted in the last few days. As a Beta special we're granting wishes mid-week (on Saturday) then starting weekly on Wednesday. Anyway, please please please vote for my cat wish!

It's in the Health & Wellness section... it's the only one about a cat.
