I got a little frustrated trying to submit a decent looking version of Modern Art Renaissance, so here are some more details.


I couldn't get the flash file small enough and even had trouble with the .gif I ended up submitting. Any hints on compressing images and still making them look decent?

I've been gone for awhile, but hopefully I'll have some new designs up soon. All the new guidelines are making my head spin. Too many choices.

This went up Friday and was dropped by today. I'm surprised because it was getting pretty good feedback. I guess all those people who didn't leave comments had a stronger bad reaction to it.

Do you vote differently than you would otherwise if something is submitted for a contest?

If it is at all connected to the theme I vote/comment normally as opposed to weighing it against other competition subs. I think some good shirts are printed from the competitions even if they aren't the winners. I like having a starting off point for my submissions even if they don't end up obviously tailored to the competition.

I really want to buy this and they are running low, but the last time I bought a shirt there was a sale 3 days later. I read some rumors of a back to school/end of summer sale. Thoughts?

Thanks for all the comments/help in the critiques. I always sub things on Thursdays or Fridays and have to wait out the weekend. Not cool.

I've seen a TON of extremely positive comments on not so good designs today. Is everyone extremely happy it's Friday or is it opposite day?
