Someone just donated me an old pentium 4 desktop computer.
I'd love to give the machine some sort of second life and am collecting ideas. So far I've got: - outfit it with Linux and use it as a "guest" computer - turn it into a server of some sort? Any nerds in the hous with ideas? NB I haven't looked into the specs yet. ( Not sure how i can get to those with no OS on the machine. ) Something I'm contemplating: deleting my twitter account. It feels like a burden. I can't seem to sqeeze anything useful in 140 characters and tweeting doesn't feel like proper communication to me, more like using a megaphone on an overcrowded marketsquare (where eveyone is using one already). Overall, I'm not really enjoying it. Has anyone here ever nixed one of their social networking tools and happily so? (or regretfully so?) Abandoning your myspace page to the eerie desert internet winds doesn't quite count, tho.
If you want to win a pack of 20(!) assorted letterpressed postcards, designed by me, myself and I, printed by the lovely ladies of Hello!Lucky, head over to my tumblr blog. I'll raffle a pack between the participants :)
Working title: Know Your Birds
![]() Goood tee or meeeeh? Sugggestions? And, if you have additional bird ideas, they're welcome. If a bird needs nixing, just let me know too. ( I'm teflon coated, I can handle criticism. )
Always had the magic number of 10 prints as a goal. But now I've got 10 prints, of course I want to have 20.
So, listen to aunt Gumbo: You'll never be satisfied with the amount of threadless prints you have. EVER! There, I said it. ![]() 1. ![]() 2. Any of these worth pursuing further?
And I never handed out so many 1's.
Is it me, or is the majority of subs for this challenge piss poor?

Just for my own convienience I made a Threadless new tee colour swatch palette for illustrator.
I figured it could be useful for others, so I updloaded it to my dropbox because I'm generous like that. Tee hee hee. Here's the linky (right click for download): Threadless 2011 tee colours swatches (ase) ********************* UPDATE **************************** I've placed the .ase file on my downloads page as well, so it's together with all other stuff and easier to keep track of for me: Gumbo's downloadable shizznizz page after download, you need to plonk the file in your adobe swatches folder. Where that is varies from operating system and CS version, but if you're on CS5 you can place the file here: Users|yourusername|AppData|Roaming|Adobe|Adobe Illustrator CS5 Settings|en_GB|Swatches |
