Very cool drawing but I'd agree that it doesn't look that much like the sun. Also I don't think that colour tee does much for the design. Would like to see it on a red tee.

KDLIG on Aug 27 '08 actually there are different styles of drawing the sun, i just wanted to have it like the one we see on encyclopedias or more likely on some other style where the sun looks like a fiery ball instead of the typical sun with rays, i hope that answers why i made the sun like that, i feel it fits the sketchy dragon too =D, keep the votes and comments coming guys! =D

I really like this, and REALLY like the sketch without color! Good job and consider doing it as just the sketch, you could screenprint it yourself.

I don't think I would have ever guessed the dragon was supposed to be eating the sun. The positioning of the arms and tongue tell me that the dragon is spitting something out. Since dragons breath fire I would have to conclude that it is supposed to be a fireball..I guess to throw at someone dodgeball style. Or maybe it's a hairball. Yeah, actually I think that would make more sense than the sun..you should run with that instead.

KDLIG on Aug 30 '08 i get your point there, um others are fine with this illustration, i've posted this on DA and so far they get what i'm trying to depict on this work, and somehow original art of Chinese Dragons somehow have odd shapes of their arms and more snaky like bosy,and even made a sun look like a fireball, i hope everyone gets my style here, i'm not going for the western style type of dragon illustration, mine is more asian and a mix of my own style of slketching, that would somehow fit the theme about the Chinese belief of the solar eclipse, i hope that covers everything up, and thanks for opening that up [+duracell-] , keep on voting you guys, please. THANKS!!! =D

love the dragon, the design and the detail but it seems anatomy is a bit off...dragon's neck does not seem able to support its head. likewise, its arms do not connect very well with its body as they look like they are placed far too back. not trying to tear you apart here or anything ^^;; it just bothers me a bit

KDLIG on Sep 01 '08 ok, i get your point, but here's another look of a Chinese Dragon from the internet Chinese Dragon If i were to make my dragon very westernized, i should have made it more very realistic specially with the anatomy, for this one i wanted it to be partly Chinese style and most of it mine, i wanted to have the oriental feel to it since it's a chinese belief of the solar eclipse, i know most of you are bothered about it, it's time for me to show what influences this style that i have here, thanks for voting btw =D
