idea is fun, but this California roll doesn't read clearly as sushi. Now make it something really distinctive like freshwater eel or octopus, and you've got it nailed. |

I love the idea-- I think the execution is abit off. I think at least part of it is the color-- blue sushi? I think the rest concerns the character--it just doesn't look like a guy who dreams of sushi.
Definitely more color though--sushi comes in such great colors and you chose blue-- no forest green? No orange? So salmon pink? Lots of potential there. |

heheh... thanks for the comments! Very helpful indeed. I like that one about the cucumber and the paw print. As for the blue... maybe the sushi is sad? boo hoo... stand by for sushi redux. In, like, the next time I have some "free" time on my hands (or whenever I feel like it, whichever comes first).
