The symbolism is incredible. This is one of those shirts I would save up for to buy. Great idea and you get a $ and 5!

Overall I like the design, however I do not like the box around it which seems to be black but then you can see the lines. Ya know?

i would take the snow or stars away.... they don't seem to have much significance. i think if they were gone, more attention would focus on the guy and girl, not just the whole picture. otherwise, clever, dark idea.

as updated info on this shirt: i'm erasing the stars, that weird box in the back was a mistake. it wasn't supposed to be there. i fixed it, now it's gone. and the whole picture is smaller. it looks a lot better. and thank you to everyone who helped me out with this.

it's kind of sad how everyone just looks at it and takes it for just that. there's a deeper meaning in it. everyone's saying, "it's scary, i wouldn't wear it because it creeps me out." well then life must creep you out because this is life.

someone up above got it right. every day people are dying but everyday people are also being born. some of us live our lives so care free and everything is perfect. but just on the other side, some one else is suffering. it's life, guys. it's just sad that only a few people actually took the time to look deeper into it.

I like all of it, the night sky, the tree, the concept. Strange and creepy and cool and everything. I may not be seeing the same symbolism as the maker but the balance between life and death is still cool

I don't like the "message." I think it's glib. All the weight of a hanged man into an image, to say what? You win some, lose some?



The hangman sillhoutte alludes not merely to "suffering" in a general sense, but to violence, including very specific acts of violence in history and current events. The image along with its explanation above suggest (perhaps inadvertently) that this violence is part of some natural cycle or balance, thus diluting its impact.



If one's message uses a man hanging from a tree, I'd rather it be more profound. If one's message is profound, I'd rather it be expressed with more subtlety and care. Hope this is constructive!

I want to know what you intended with the message, because I got something totally differant that what ibonadarna got out of it. I see nothing of violence, all I see if the Banality of suicide, death, murder. A child without authority, or protection, playing in a dangerous world.

Flipping the image horizontally would do wonders...you read it left to right and seeing the kid on the swing before seeing the person hanging would be more effective psychologically.



A different shirt color would be nice too...a lighter, happier color to contrast with the "grimness" of the image, but keep it white. Aaand a bit smaller & ditch the stars. It could be REAlly great.

Aww... I really love the stars. I'm sorry to hear you're removing them. I think they really make the shirt perfect. I almost hate it, just because it seems a little too strong with the dead body there... I'd almost rather just an empty noose. But I think it's absolutely beautifully done. I love the stars, the tree, the simplicity of it.

I really like the idea. Altough I wouldn't wear it on the street for everyone to see. But I'm a sucker for sublime, off centered pictures on a shirt.

So, put a small version of the picture down to the left. Then I would give it a "5" and buy as many.
