Great shirt. Maybe make it slightly less symmetrical? Love it, otherwise.

Yeah it is a bit too symmetrical.
Also, I think it might look better if the penguins were stood a bit closer to each other. The whole design is a bit too spread out right now; it's not all that pleasing to the eye. Other than that: great concept, great tshirt. 5 + £ |

I like for my penguins to be happy.
I'm thinking maybe they should be standing together on one side, one looking at the baby and the other looking forward or something like it. The penguins just look like they were walking by the egg. |

I didnt realize there were so many damn penguin designs submitted until after I submitted this.. Like I said, I was inspired after watching March of the Penguins.. The same thing probably happened to other designers, thus the surplus in penguin designs.. I wouldnt call it a lack of originality, just that a certain film got a bunch of people started on a certain subject at the same time.

great movie, shirt hits the mark, but the symmetry is too asymmetrical as indicated by other viewers.
having seen the movie and realizing that the mated parents are parted at this point with nothing more left to this "season" of their lives, I understand their turning away. Just a very sad part of a wonderful National Geographic documentary. Life is like that, ya' know? |

azrielen on Aug 25 '05 Awww! That's the saddest parts of the film, but I must admit it's very inspiring on the whole. The film, that is. Not this shirt. Hehe. But I do like it. I would just never wear anything that would depress me whenever I wear it. Haha.

I haven't seen the film but I think I would like it a bit better if the penguins were together, sharing thier grief? I'm not sure if penguins would actually do that but at least then it wouldn't be so utterly depressing.
I really like it though, but it makes me sad. |

I haven't seen the film, but I don't know if it makes a difference - I think this is just incredibly sad. I think it's a beautiful submission, the artwork is great and everything is great, but I could never wear it personally, it would just make me too sad!

I agree with green-means-go...I saw the film and I think the shirt would be more touching if the penguins were standing closer and looking at the egg (like how they appeared in the film).

Right now this shirt looks like a message on divorce. The penguins are so far apart and facing opposite ways so it looks like they're leaving each other and not paying attention to the child. It's screaming "DIVORCE" at me when it obviously isn't trying to really say that.
So I'd say follow the suggestions of having the penguins closer and looking at the egg. |
