damn I did a pirate design, and it is pending right now. It is different then this, but I don't want the pirate thing to become like the quid thing. Good design 4$.

skeletore on Apr 20 '06 I felt like I needed to explain why I didn't put in a peg leg; of course I considered it.
The idea is that this is an otherwise totally normal looking person (aside from the fact that I only chose to show the torso). If I were to put in a dotted line peg leg it would have to be taking the place of where this person's actual leg should go. If the dotted lines where taken away it would be some normal looking guy with half a leg which isn't exactly what I wanted. I hope that clears things up even if you still wish a peg leg was there. |

the idea is great!
however, i think the peg leg should go on! just have a whole leg, but dot the peg leg outline over it. i mean, if you're wearing slacks, you can't tell if there's a peg beneath the fabric or real human flesh :P yeah, i think you should complete the guy, then making him smaller, add more piratey things (like a hat or earrings), and maybe more color. again, the idea is great :D |

se5k on Apr 21 '06 you make a good point skeletore ... maybe if the guys leg was bent, like walking/running, this would allow you the clearance to have both the peg and the leg in the same scene ...
also, it just looked kinda funny to me ... i think i figured out why #1. it looks like he'd have to draw it with his left hand, but theres nothing wrong with that. and #2 the tie really stands out, becuase its just straight lines, whereas the rest of the entire thing is curvy. maybe if the tie was not black. but, all minor points and it still gets $$ from me, as i'd buy one for my girlfriend AND me. keep on rockin. was i helpfull or just a pain? |

I love the idea, but I would like to see pants (maybe outlined pirate pants over business pants?) Also, not loving the khaki, but the design is awesome. I would totally but this (and you should do a ninja one too.)

As for the tie it's straight because the person is leaning forward and the tie is hanging straight down like it would in reality. I suppose the illustration flaw might be that it's not totally obvious that that's what's going on. I don't want my explainations to come across as a defensive attempt to dodge critism or devalue other peoples impressions of the design. I really like the total honesty and opinions of everyone; that's how you grow. Thanks |

I agree with the dotted peg leg, I think that would finish it well. I'd like to see the hair a bit more defined and "modern", and the sleeve cuff/cut thing seems a bit long ?
Other than that, I'd buy it :D |
