About my design

by funkmunky
Generally sick of reading about one war or another going on somewhere in the world.

These people/soldiers/terrorists/whatever must buy their weaponry somewhere. Does it come in a kit? Surely value for money must be a slight concern for the maniacal and prolific murderers of the 21st century.

Just a thought.

A good idea, but I think it's way too flat.

Bad news: there has been one war or another going on in the world since humankind began recording history. You're going to be sick for a long time. Still, I like the design and I would like it more if it was a little more 3D, maybe with a plastic texture on the missiles.

I like the idea a lot. I think the composition is interesting but it could use some variety other than black silhouettes.

It comes from Americans who sell it to them, but what the yanks don't know ( at least the politicians ) is that they are selling them to organizations who will eventually bite the hand that feeds them..IE. IRAQ - AFGHNISTAN - AFRICA.

So before this turns into an anti-american foreign policy debate, I agree with the army green. Goes famously with the image and theme.

make it more 3d with another color and the 4 goes to a 5.

I like the 2D, but I think the image should be head-on, not slanted away from the viewer.

Love it...maybe w/ a touch of color? I want it!

Oh but I really like it this way. No color, no 3-d stuff. It becomes more of a statement, I think. And I also remember those model airplane kits that are all one color, anyway. You had to paint them afterwards. I ususally screwed up all the decals and then was frustrated and never painted them anyway. I like this idea!

Copper Cable ^

Thats exactly what I was thinking. The plastic was all one one colour, not necessarily black however, then you painted it and applied the decals.

intresting but I would't wear it. no politics

if it did have some other colour and some depth it would be kick ass. shading is an artists best friend!

I like it, but I think threadless should stay politic-free.

Cool idea, makes me want to go build gundam models.... :P

I don't know why people want the silhouettes, the way it is now reminds me of model airplanes, where the parts come in plastic just like that. It's better flat, it's funnier.

I think you should put some if not all of that text in the presentation on the actual design..
evanbaer
evanbaer on Aug 07 '06
+4 on the design, but there should be a jump of color on it I feel. Like a drop of deep red blood -- something to contrast against the black stencil. +5$ if this were done on an army green fatigue shirt.

minimekerlinger on Aug 07 '06
The figures should have depth. And keep the plastic all one color, like the model pieces, but make it a lighter color. I think white or gray on brown or green would like sweet. Maybe tan (for the shirt or the pieces, depending on the other color).

I appreciate the politics behind it, and the war/model kit idea is really quite cool.. but as others have said, it's a bit too "flat" looking, so much so that the kit itself being on an angle actually looks awkward.

If there's any way you could resubmit this, I think making it a bit less 2D and printing it on the army tone (a great idea human_no110289) would make it something worth printing.. and buying, IMO.

Cool idea. Not sure about the perspective/ angle. It catches my eye yet, disturbs me at the same time. uh I think that's good.

nuthin wrong with wearing your politics on your sleeve. too many people are too self absorbed or afraid of what others may think of them.

uh i think that's good .... considering the topic.
